mgm joins Low Code Association

The Low Code-Association e. V. is an association founded by some German low code providers in 2022. The goal: the further spread of low code and no code technology across a broad spectrum of industries. As an international software company with its own low code platform A12, mgm has now joined the association. This underlines our commitment to innovative and efficient enterprise software solutions.

Membership in the Low Code Association (LCA) offers mgm the opportunity to exchange ideas with other industry leaders, share proven approaches and work together on the further development of low code technology. The association would like to represent the topic complex in the public as well as in a broad industry mix and thus establish the efficient implementation concept for software projects further. Joint trade fair appearances and own events are also on the agenda – with the German Low Code Day already at the end of September 2023. mgm will be present in Hanover with a small team.

Hamarz Mehmanesh, CEO of mgm, is pleased about the new association foundation: “The membership in the Low Code Association underlines our ambition to drive innovative software solutions and to offer our customers a fast and efficient development environment.” For mgm it is clear that model-driven development – “model-driven engineering” (MDE) – is the future. “We are glad to be part of this community of low-code enthusiasts and to be able to shape the future of software development together.”

Low Code: The Future of Enterprise Software Development

Low code technology has gained in importance in recent years and has established itself as an effective solution for accelerating software development. Companies and government agencies are increasingly turning to low code platforms to develop applications and software solutions in less time and with less effort. mgm’s proprietary platform A12 is one of the leading enterprise low code platforms for administrative digitization in Germany. Current examples include MODUL-F, a project of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior and for the Interior together with the Senate Chancellery in Hamburg, the Förderfinder of the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs, and the OZG application portal of the chambers of tax consultants.

As a member of the Low Code Association, mgm will be actively involved in promoting the use of low code platforms in enterprises. The architecture and A12 teams can bring years of experience and thus a wealth of expertise to share best practices, set standards and further drive adoption of low-code technologies. Through this collaboration, mgm is helping to strengthen the concept of development. The goal: to enable companies and administrations to make their software development more efficient.

Combined industry forces in the Low Code Association

The Low Code-Association goes back to an idea at the Berlin Low Code Day 2019, hosted by the Berlin-Brandenburg IT industry association (SIBB). After some preliminary considerations and preparations, the e. V. was then founded at the beginning of June 2022 in Berlin. At the beginning of 2023, the first major milestone of the young association appeared with the jointly developed Low Code Manifesto.

In addition to the eight founding members (Allisa Software, DMK E-Business, Dresearch Digital Media, Jobrouter, Necara, Scopeland Technology, Simplifier and SQL Project), there are now seven other companies in the association – including mgm. The focus of the short and medium-term work is on the DACH region, with internationalization planned at a later date.
