IT Awards, “Low Code / No Code” category – Gold for mgm

After winning a major award for the first time, the question inevitably arises: “Can we do it again?” For mgm, this question was answered last night at the IT Awards gala in Augsburg: In the category “Low Code / No Code”, mgm won gold and thus 2nd place at the Readers’ Choice Awards 2023. The nomination was once again made by the internet portal Dev-Insider.

Sergio Lerena Robles, member of the mgm management team, was sitting at the dinner table in the large hall for the second time after 2022 when the category for our enterprise low-code platform A12 appeared on the screen. “I got a little excited again. Would mgm be called first or last, so third or first place – always exciting.” Even though this year’s readers’ poll didn’t yield a platinum certificate, he and Sebastian Adam, Technical Project Manager in the A12 team, were just as happy with “gold” and enjoyed the evening to the fullest.

Second Low Code Award in a row

“Knowing that our final appearance last year was not a one time thing is great in itself. And gold is a beautiful color,” said Lerena Robles with a smile. “I am sure it will also make our colleagues at mgm and the A12 partner companies very happy and proud. As a long-time ELSTER project manager, he has been a low-code advocate from the very beginning and knows the possibilities and limitations of the low-code development approach from this extremely complex project.

Sebastian Adam is technical project manager and responsible for the development of new components such as the Notification Center in the A12 team. “For many years, we have been dealing with the best technological solution for the platform and its intelligent use by end users on a daily basis. I’m very happy about the renewed award and the recognition”. They took the certificate with them to our headquarters in Munich.

Over 70,000 votes decided placement

This year was the ninth time that the seven specialist portals of Vogel IT-Medien presented the coveted IT Awards. Together they nominated ten of the most important and relevant companies in 42 categories. Readers, customers and partners were then asked to vote for their favourites – resulting in over 70,000 votes.

The three companies with the most votes in each category were invited to the gala in Augsburg. From the “Low Code / No Code” industry there were again some very large, partly internationally active software vendors in the running. Due to the wide range of topics covered by the insider media, the evening is also a great meeting place for the entire IT landscape, from big data and cloud providers to security and network specialists.
mgm was only beaten by its colleagues from the global IT group Infosys, who were awarded a platinum certificate. 3rd place and silver went to Simplifier. Congratulations to all award winners!
