Ansgar Weiß (left), A12 project manager, and Sergio Lerena Robles from the mgm management are very pleased with the award.

A great premiere already in spring, when the trade portal Dev-Insider nominated mgm for the first time for the IT Awards, the Readers’ Choice Awards of Vogel IT-Medien. Now – after two years with remote awards – there was again a festive gala in Augsburg. The evening was worthwhile for us: mgm can be pleased about a platinum certificate and thus the 1st place. This prize goes to the low-code platform A12 and the entire team behind it.

At some point it got exciting, call of the category “Low Code / No Code” of the Dev-Insider, start at 3rd place – mgm was not called. So the suspense continued! When the name mgm was not called for 2nd place either, it was clear: mgm was at the top of the podium. And then a beaming Sergio Lerena Robles, member of the mgm management, on stage to pick the award.

Low Code for Public Sector, Industrial Insurance and Commerce

“Already the nomination was a great thing and an award after many years of intensive architecture and development work,” says Sergio Lerena Robles. “The fact that we are now even on the podium is just insane. Our A12-based projects in the public sector, industrial insurance and commerce seem to be working.” That Sergio Lerena Robels accepted the award is obvious: he has been at mgm since 2005 and has accompanied ELSTER for many years, which is now largely based on low-code developments.

Present on site and just as proud in front of the stage: Ansgar Weiss, project manager of the low code platform A12. “At A12, we are always aiming to find the best technological solution, right down to the last detail,” he says. “Our goal is to offer the specialist departments themselves development possibilities on the platform, even in highly complex environments. We are very proud that the success of this approach is now reflected in this award.”

Strong competition in “Low Code / No Code” category

For the eighth time, seven magazine portals of Vogel IT-Medien jointly announced the IT Awards, this year in 42 categories. Ten companies from each industry category made it into the editorial nomination selection. According to last year’s report, these are companies “that had distinguished themselves in a particularly positive way in the recent past – be it through groundbreaking new technologies, outstanding products and concepts or through forward-looking strategies. ”

In the category “Low Code / No Code”, international industry leaders were again in the voting competition. For several weeks, readers, partners and customers of the nominees were asked to vote for their favourites. In total, over 72,000 votes were cast.

A gold certificate and thus 2nd place goes to Build. One, the global company OutSystems manages silver and 3rd place. Congratulations!
