Effectively combining spaces, organization and AI: Rethinking collaboration, control, and technology

Last Updated on 25. February 2026

On March 18, 2026, mgm consulting partners and Steelcase invite decision-makers to Hamburg. In the newly designed mgm office in the Speicherstadt, rooms, organization and AI come together with the aim of providing impetus for effective corporate transformation.

Dynamic markets, geopolitical uncertainties, and technological upheavals present companies with a common challenge: How can organizations remain capable of acting when conditions change faster than their own structures? This question is the focus of an exclusive impulse and networking event that mgm consulting partners is hosting together with Steelcase on March 18, 2026, in Hamburg.

Spaces, organization and AI – future impulses as a starting point

The event will kick off with a keynote speech by Oona Horx Strathern (The Future Project), who will provide an inspiring outlook on key social, economic, and cultural changes. Her presentation will highlight how external conditions are changing increasingly dynamically and what challenges this poses for companies – especially with regard to organization, leadership, and collaboration.

Rethinking management – between orientation and effectiveness

Building on this future perspective, Benedikt Jost, partner and Agile Lead at mgm consulting partners, will explain what the current developments mean in concrete terms for the management of companies. The focus is on the challenges for leadership, decision-making, and organizational alignment in an environment of constant change. How can companies remain capable of acting and effective despite growing complexity? This question is not answered in abstract terms, but rather illuminated on the basis of concrete experiences from consulting practice.

When AI speeds up decisions but does not improve them

A special focus of the afternoon will be on the role of artificial intelligence in corporate management. Antje von Garrel, manager and lead AI consulting at mgm consulting partners, shows why AI acts as an amplifier of existing organizational problems when coordination and decision-making capabilities are not clarified. AI speeds up decisions and thus confronts companies with their actual bottlenecks: unresolved conflicts of interest, expensive handovers between business and IT, and a lack of clarity about responsibilities. The impulse makes it clear why management capability today means above all clarifying coordination and responsibility between business and IT – so that AI can actually relieve companies instead of creating new management problems.

Neuroarchitecture: How spaces influence collaboration and productivity

Ina-Maija Tillmanns from Steelcase will conclude the content program with a presentation on neuroarchitecture. This interdisciplinary field examines how work environments can be specifically designed to positively influence behavior, well-being, creativity, and productivity. Using concrete examples—with direct reference to mgm’s newly designed office space in Hamburg—she will explain how sensory-rich work environments can support collaboration in the long term. Participants will experience the principles presented not only in theory, but also directly on site.

Focus on networking

The event is deliberately aimed at a curated group of participants from executive management, top management, HR decision-makers, and those responsible for organization, transformation, and workplace. Following the program, an open networking session until around 8:00 p.m. will offer an opportunity to delve deeper into the ideas presented in the presentations, explore the new office space, and exchange ideas with like-minded people.
