More strength for the management of mgm consulting partners

mgm consulting partners GmbH is expanding its management team. With Antje von Garrel, Merle Best and Roman Schleicher, the consulting company of the mgm Group has appointed three experienced consultants with extensive project and industry experience to the extended management team.

Frank Kneschke, Managing Director of mgm consulting partners, said: “Different perspectives, experiences and competences characterise us and make our customers successful. I am therefore very pleased that we are further strengthening our management team with Antje von Garrel, Merle Best and Roman Schleicher, thereby recognising our growth and consistent focus on value-adding customer projects. With around 50 per cent of our consultants being women, we are also making steady progress towards our goal of achieving equal representation in management positions.”

New perspectives with many years of experience

Antje von Garrel worked as a consultant in Germany and the Netherlands immediately after completing her degree in business administration/international management. She was involved in digital and IT projects in consulting companies as well as in business development at various corporations. Through projects in innovation management, she discovered her passion for customer-centred and agile methodologies early on. Her experience in various consulting contexts made her a “bridge builder” between business and IT and today she supports companies on the path to digital transformation.

Antje joined mgm consulting partners in 2018 and, as Product Owner of the Agile Community, has since helped shape the consulting offering on the topics of business agility and innovation.

Antje on her new role: “Thanks to my diverse experience, I bring new perspectives to the strategic development of mgm consulting partners. Our clients are increasingly looking for holistic transformation consulting that increases the customer focus and innovative capacity of their companies through new cooperation models between business and IT.”

Merle Best gained experience in various industries after completing her Master’s degree in International Business and Management at the University of Bedfordshire in England. Among other things, she worked as a business development analyst in the energy sector and as an IT project manager in the automotive industry. For several years, her focus has been on SAP transformations in retail.

Merle has been with mgm consulting partners since October 2020 and has focused on creating modern working environments for customers through digitalisation projects right from the start. As Product Owner, she leads the community for SAP solutions and works closely with sister company mgm integration partners to further expand the joint service portfolio. She is also an active networker, including at the Hamburg Assembly of Honourable Merchants and the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.

Merle on her new role: “In my new management role, I have completely different opportunities to actively help shape the future of mgm. For me, this includes having an open ear for our customers, for a continuous dialogue at eye level, but also an ear for our consultants to support them in their professional development and in building a strong and reliable network.”

Roman Schleicher studied economics at the University of Tübingen and worked as an IT project manager in international retail and logistics companies for several years after graduating. After joining mgm in 2018, he helped build up the consulting segment for public clients.

The focus of his practical work is on advising ministries, state offices and authorities in the context of OZG implementation for the digitalisation of administrative services and their provision via administrative portals. Roman is also responsible for the Public Sector division as a product owner and is involved in the National E-Government Competence Centre (NEGZ), where he heads the “Low Code in Public Administration” working group.

Roman on his new role: “Together with my outstanding colleagues, mgm has already been able to make a successful contribution to various consulting projects for our customers in recent years. I am excited to be able to take on further strategic and operational tasks in my new role as a member of the management team and to help shape the company’s development.”
