On November 26, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., mgm technology partners invites you to the webinar “Digital Product Passport: Obligations, Deadlines, Opportunities – What Companies Must Do by 2027.”
With the new EU Ecodesign Regulation (ESPR), the Digital Product Passport (DPP) will become mandatory in the coming years. The European register for product passports is expected to launch in 2026, with the first obligations for manufacturers and distributors taking effect in 2027. For wholesalers, this means product data will become an integral part of the product itself – and thus a decisive competitive factor.
In the webinar, mgm experts Günter Heiß and Jonas Vogel will explain the upcoming regulatory and technical requirements and how wholesalers, in particular, can prepare early. They will show why the DPP is much more than an additional documentation task – it’s a catalyst for rethinking and strategically redesigning product data processes.
Wholesalers face a unique challenge: acting as both recipients and providers of product data. They must consolidate information from diverse sources while supplying their customers with complete, structured, and comparable data. This requires a clear data strategy, robust processes, and suitable systems for data management and consolidation.
Through practical examples, the speakers will demonstrate how to organize data flows efficiently, how rule-based and AI-supported approaches can be applied, and how solutions such as mgm Chioro can help reduce effort and risk.
The webinar is aimed at professionals in data management, procurement, IT, and sustainability who want to understand upcoming DPP requirements and align their product data strategies accordingly. Those who start improving the quality and structure of their product data today will be well positioned for smooth DPP implementation – and a strong role in tomorrow’s digital market.
