For the sixth time in a row, the readers of eGovernment have awarded mgm a Platinum prize in the “Consultant” category. The eGovernment Readers’ Choice Award is presented annually and is one of the most prestigious awards for the digitization of public administration in Germany. Unlike jury-selected awards, the winners here are chosen by the people who work on digitization projects every day in government agencies, IT service providers, and ministries. That is exactly what makes this award so valuable to us.

Six Years, One Commitment
Six Platinum awards aren’t the result of a single flagship project. They come about when collaboration functions reliably over many years. Public administration faces considerable pressure in this regard: citizens and businesses expect simple digital services, while at the same time data protection, IT security, and digital sovereignty must be guaranteed. The shortage of skilled workers exacerbates the situation, and budgets remain tight.
Amid these challenges, we have been advising the federal government, states, municipalities, and public IT service providers for over twenty years. Our approach has always remained the same: We consider strategy, organization, processes, and IT holistically and support projects from the initial idea through to ongoing operations. IT Project and Program Management
We manage complex digitalization programs at the federal, state, and local levels, establish PMO structures and reporting lines, and select methods that align with the organization’s goals, culture, and level of maturity. We draw directly on experience from projects such as OZG Cloud, ELSTER, and Modul F.
Organizational and Process Consulting
We analyze and redesign structures in ministries, government agencies, and IT service providers; develop product-oriented IT organizations with clear lines of responsibility; and support reorganizations as well as executives through change processes.
Agile Roles and Governance
We introduce agile working methods in government agencies, coach teams, product owners, and executives, and, when necessary, take on roles such as Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Release Train Engineer ourselves.
Steering and Portfolio
We create transparency and decision-making capacity across administrative levels, for example through governance models for federal digital projects, portfolio management for the OZG and infrastructure programs, or the steering of EfA services across state and departmental boundaries.
Artificial Intelligence
We identify and evaluate AI use cases in public administration—such as in document verification or knowledge management—develop initial prototypes, establish governance and security standards, and transition successful pilot projects into regular operation.
Digital Sovereignty as a Principle
One theme runs through all our services: the public administration’s ability to act. Anyone offering digital services must retain control over data, architecture, and technology. That’s why we rely on open technologies, European solutions, and approaches that avoid vendor lock-in.
