How can a German state replace its Microsoft Access-based applications with low-code, modernize its specialized workflows, and boost its digital sovereignty? mgm will address this and related questions at this year’s Smart Country Convention (SCCON), held October 13-15, 2026 at the Berlin exhibition grounds. The company will have its own booth (hub27 | 112) and will deliver 13 technical talks over the three days.
Statewide Access replacement with Schleswig-Holstein
A highlight of the event: mgm’s joint presentations with the Schleswig-Holstein State Chancellery. Sessions run Tuesday, Oct 13 at 12:00 PM at the Schleswig-Holstein booth (hub27 | 315), and Wednesday, Oct 14 at 11:00 AM at the mgm booth (hub27 | 112). For the main-stage audience, mgm managing director Hamarz Mehmanesh and Business Development Manager Jan Samek will give a talk titled “Statewide Access Replacement: A Success Story from Schleswig-Holstein Powered by Open Source and Low Code” (main stage, hub27 | Plaza Stage, second congress day, 4:00 PM). Using mgm’s A12 AI Low Code platform, the State Chancellery is replacing Microsoft Access-based applications and building open-source, modern specialized workflows through a holistic development approach.
ESACA for sovereign agentic coding
Another highlight: how AI-assisted software development can be deployed securely and compliantly in sensitive government environments. Together with partner company Fsas Technologies (Fujitsu), Dr. Jan Jikeli, mgm’s Head of AI, will present the “European Sovereign Agentic Coding Appliance” (ESACA) – a ready-to-deploy, all-in-one European solution for secure agentic coding. As an on-premises solution, ESACA makes highly efficient AI-agent-assisted programming usable in heavily regulated corporate and government environments.
