With the A12 Partner Program, mgm is making the A12 enterprise low code platform and a proven software development methodology available to more companies – creating the basis for bringing the low code approach to full-blown business software on a broad scale.

Jointly developing long-lasting, secure, high-performance and user-friendly business software – that is the goal of the A12 Partner Program, which was launched in spring 2022. The basis for this is the A12 enterprise low code platform. It has already proven in several major projects that the low code principle can be applied just as well to complex, full-blown enterprise software as to small apps for seamless digitization.
“With A12, we have created an open technical platform and a very efficient methodology for individual software development,” says Dr. Daniel Brodkorb, member of the management board of mgm technology partners. “To bring this approach to a wider audience, we rely on competent partners. Our partner program aims to provide them with all the resources they need and empower them to ensure high implementation quality of A12 projects.”
Partner categories and onboarding
To ensure different forms of partner involvement in A12 projects, mgm has defined a number of partner categories. They each address different aspects of software development and deployment based on A12.
- Modeling Partners are specialized in modeling essential parts of an application using the tools of A12.
- Development Partners are able to develop and customize applications using the A12 runtime platform.
- Solution Partners combine modeling and development expertise. They are able to independently create individual A12 applications.
- Cloud Partners are responsible for the operation of A12-based software in their own data center.
- Platform partners are solution and cloud partners in one. They are also able to develop and operate A12 applications independently.
The prerequisite for partner status is the provision of a certain number of trained experts for the relevant areas of competence. A clearly defined onboarding process establishes a transparent path for new partners and facilitates their entry into the A12 world.
GetA12.com – all A12 resources in one place
In order to provide partners with all essential A12 resources – from modeling tools to technical artifacts and documentation – mgm built the GetA12 platform in early 2022. Since March 2023, the site shines in a fresh and modern layout after a comprehensive redesign. The new navigation ensures that all important resources can be found more intuitively.
“A12 is a very powerful, but also complex platform. We are therefore continuously working on making it as easy as possible for our partners to get started,” says Hanna Purschke, who is responsible for partner management at mgm. “GetA12 therefore not only features the latest releases and documentation. The constantly growing training catalog is also integrated. And we’ve set up a Discourse forum for knowledge sharing, where the A12 community can exchange ideas.”
Class instead of mass – expansion plans for 2024
A further, gradual expansion of the partner program is planned for the coming year. In addition to the introduction of a more comprehensive certification program for business analysts and developers, the onboarding journey is to be successively improved.
“At the moment, our aim is not to win over as many partners as possible. But rather exactly the right ones,” adds Brodkorb. “To build the A12 ecosystem, we rely on trustworthy and competent partners who share our commitment to robust and long-lasting enterprise software.”
