Software-QS-Tag 2026 takes place in Frankfurt am Main on November 11 and 12. On the first day of the conference, mgm technology partners contributes two talks and a panel discussion. Lilia Gargouri, Head of Quality Assurance at mgm, speaks about sustainable AI in test automation and then joins a discussion on the future of software testing. Thomas Max of Quality First Software (QFS), an mgm subsidiary, shows how AI agents can test applications even without an API. mgm will also be exhibiting at its own booth on both days.
The two-day conference on software quality and testing is organized by imbus AG. In addition to talks and keynotes, the program includes workshops, an exhibition, and an evening event. One of the four program tracks is dedicated to Test & AI.

Lilia Gargouri: Sustainable AI in test automation
In her talk, Lilia Gargouri asks what AI-generated tests really cost in the long run. Using real-world scenarios, she shows where AI delivers genuine value and where it introduces new risks, such as opaque test logic or a growing dependence on individual tools. Her take: AI doesn’t eliminate work, it shifts it. That’s why teams need guardrails to keep test automation manageable.
Lilia Gargouri is a member of the German Testing Board. She developed mgm Q12-ATA, a model-based low-code tool for test automation in e-government projects.

Panel discussion on the future of software testing
Right after her talk, Lilia Gargouri joins the German Testing Board panel to discuss where humans fit into software testing as AI takes on more and more tasks. She is joined on stage by Dr. Klaudia Dussa-Zieger (imbus AG, President of ISTQB®), Maud Schlich (THE QUALITEERS), Dr. Anne Kramer (Smartesting), and Dr.-Ing. Dehla Sokenou (WPS Workplace Solutions). Therese Kuhfuss moderates.
Thomas Max: AI test automation without an API
Thomas Max shows how AI agents can test desktop applications and legacy systems that lack a modern interface. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) makes this possible. QF-Test provides its own MCP tools that let an agent explore an application on its own and derive reusable test cases from it, without any changes to the application itself.
He is just as focused on the flip side: What permissions should an agent have if it can perform any action in the user interface? And how can teams protect themselves against prompt injection through manipulated content in the application under test? As an Advanced Trainer, Thomas Max advises enterprise customers on building their test automation.

At the mgm booth: QF-Test and agentic test automation
mgm technology partners will be exhibiting at its own booth on both days of the conference. The spotlight is on QF-Test, the automated GUI testing tool from our subsidiary Quality First Software. We’ll show you how QF-Test fits into existing testing environments and how AI agents work with it.
Let’s meet in Frankfurt
Lilia Gargouri and Thomas Max look forward to talking with you at Software-QS-Tag 2026. Connect with them on LinkedIn ahead of the event and arrange to meet in Frankfurt, whether after the talks, around the panel, or at our booth.
